NTSB Assists Mexican Government in Investigation

By request from the Mexican Government, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) sent a team of investigators to assist in the investigation of Friday’s crash of an Aerospatiale AS 322L Super Puma, which killed all eight people on board, including the country’s Interior Minister Francisco Blake.

The Eurocopter was en route from Camp Martre, Mexico, to Cuernavaca, Morelos, on Friday morning when it crashed into a rural area south of Mexico City. The NTSB team along with representatives from the FAA arrived in Mexico City on Sunday, according to the agency.
