GE Aviation, Parker Aerospace Form Joint Venture
GE Aviation and Parker Aerospace have formed a joint venture, Advanced Atomization Technologies, to develop and manufacture commercial aircraft engine fuel nozzles.
The company will produce fuel nozzles specifically for current and future GE Aviation engines.
"GE and Parker Aerospace are both world-class aviation businesses and this joint venture will allow us to further evolve our existing relationship and offer best-in-class design, manufacturing and program management for these critical components," said Mike Sims, general manager of GE Aviation Combustor.
The joint venture will look to reduce engine emissions by combining Parker’s fuel nozzle technology with GE’s TAPS combustion technology.
Advanced Atomization Technologies will operate out of the Parker Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division in Clyde, N.Y.
