FAA Details Hudson Corridor Changes

The Federal Aviation Administration has published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that will modify the Class B airspace around New York City and establish a special flight rules area in the Hudson and East River airspace corridor. The changes follow the August 8 midair crash involving a Eurocopter AS350 and a Piper PA32 over the Hudson River. To view the full proposal, click here. Comments on the NPRM must be sent to FAA before Oct. 16. To send feedback via the web, go to the Federal eRulemaking Portal at www.regulations.gov and follow the directions. Refer to Docket Number FAA-2009-0837 when sending comments. Reactions to the NPRM can also be sent by mail to Docket Operations, M-30; U.S. Department of Transportation, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Room W12-140, West Building Ground Floor, Washington, DC 20590-0001.
