Beechcraft Reports Delivery Increase for Second Quarter

Beechcraft Corp. on Monday reported a 75 percent increase in deliveries of military and commercial aircraft during the second quarter. 
The newly re-branded manufacturer, which emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February, delivered 56 total military and commercial jets during the second quarter compared to 32 during the same period in 2012. For the first half of 2013, Beechcraft delivered a total of 115 aircraft compared to 69 for the first half of 2012, a 66 percent increase. 
“Beechcraft is progressing through 2013 in a strong position,” said Bill Boisture, CEO. “While the global economic conditions remain difficult, the value proposition and versatility of our products continue to resonate with customers. In addition, we are seeing positive growth in our global customer support and global mission support businesses, along with good activity in our defense and special mission platforms,” said Bill Boisture, CEO of Beechcraft. 
The company delivered a total of 24 King Airs, 12 Barons, 11 T-6 military trainers and nine Bonanzas during the second quarter.
