Haggan Aviation Wins Universal STC

Haggan Aviation, of Englewood, Colo., received a supplemental type certificate for installation of Universal Avionics' Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS)/SBAS Flight Management Systems in the Learjet 60. The companies said the STC includes approval for 3-D coupled WAAS GPS (RNAV) approach types, including Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) procedures. In this installation, Universal said its WAAS/SBAS-capable UNS-1Fws replaced earlier generation UNS-1B+ FMSs.
