Chief Technical Officer
Véronique Blanc is chief technical officer of OnAir, and is responsible for the design and deployment of the company’s GSM/GPRS based services as well as the Internet services that enable airline passengers to communicate from the air, using their mobile devices and laptops. She is in charge of managing the company’s product roadmap and overseeing its activities in the areas of technology and innovation. Véronique is a member of the OnAir Executive Committee.
Before the formation of OnAir, Blanc was director of In-Flight Passenger Communications at SITA AIRCOM, responsible for the product portfolio and business development of aircraft communications and information services. Prior to joining SITA AIRCOM in 1997, she held a range of technical and management positions in the area of mobile satellite communications in a number of European companies including BT Research Labs and France Télécom.
A French national currently based in Geneva, Véronique graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in 1986 and received a post-graduate degree in Aerospace Communications from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in 1988.
