Capt. Philip Adrian
737 Technical Pilot, Regulatory Affairs Operational Focal, Boeing Flight Safety and Technical
As 737 technical pilot and operational focal in Regulatory Affairs, Philip Adrian is responsible for Boeing 737 flight manuals and procedures, and airline support, as well as the Boeing interface with foreign regulatory authorities on operational items affecting Boeing and its customers.
Adrian joined Boeing as a flight instructor in 2007 after serving as head of training for Transavia Airlines in the Netherlands. He moved to his current position in March 2009 and has been involved with required navigation performance, mixed fleet flying and international rulemaking affecting operations. In his more than 13,000 flight hours, Adrian has flown RNP, low-visibility operations and a realm of other special operations.
Prior to joining Transavia Airlines in 1992, Adrian served in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, where he went through officers and flight training, and was a flight instructor for six months at a North American flight institute. He has served as a member on a number of aviation industry teams involving runway safety and emergency response management. He also has served on aviation industry boards regarding flight safety, aviation security and crew resource management.
Adrian currently holds 737, 777 and 787 type ratings, and is an instructor for all those types.
