Vibration Monitoring System

The U.S. Navy selected Honeywell to provide its vibration monitoring system (VMS) for the MQ-8B Fire Scout vertical takeoff and landing tactical unmanned air vehicle (VTUAV) built by Northrop Grumman. The VMS will interface with Northrop’s vehicle management computer, which manages the command and control functions of the aircraft. The Navy plans to use Fire Scout on the Littoral Combat Ship, where sailors will operate both manned and unmanned helicopters to support operational requirements. More
