Speakers Confirmed For NextGen Webinar

With the recent addition of Capt. David Strand, Boeing 757/767 program manager and technical pilot with American Airlines, the speaker panel for the Nov. 4 Avionics Magazine Webinar, “NextGen Task Force: Applying The Recommendations,” is confirmed. Strand will join RTCA Inc. Vice President Raymond M. Glennon; Michael Romanowski, FAA director of NextGen Integration and Implementation; and Capt. Bob Hilb (Ret.), former manager of Advanced Flight Systems at UPS and now an industry consultant.

After seven months of intensive deliberations involving 300 aviation industry stakeholders, the RTCA NextGen Mid-Term Implementation Task Force in September delivered recommendations to FAA for achieving NextGen operating efficiencies in the next decade. The Webinar speakers, all of whom participated in the Task Force process, will provide an overview of the recommendations, describe FAA’s response and discuss pros and cons of the proposed approach to achieving NextGen.

The hour-long on-line event, which allows for emailed questions from the audience, will take place Wednesday, Nov. 4 from noon to 1 p.m. ET. For more information and to register visit www.aviationtoday.com/webinars.
