STC Awarded for navAero EFB

NavAero, Chicago, said its tBag C22 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) received supplemental type certification (STC) as a Class 2 EFB on the B757-200/300 series. The STC includes cross-connected dual t Bag C22 EFB systems with the t Pad 1500 display; the UMTS/HSDPA – 3G cellular modem module for on-ground data transfer and the navAero ARINC 429 module and custom software. The software enables this Class 2 EFB to deploy the Jeppesen Airport moving map software, navAero said. “These applications, when combined with our hardware, now give commercial airlines an affordable technology platform that can allow them to improve their operational efficiency and increase their situational awareness,” said navAero spokesperson Ken Crowhurst.
