Qantas to Use Boeing Health Management System

Boeing signed an agreement with Australia’s Qantas Airways to use Boeing’s Airplane Health Management (AHM) on its fleet of 747-400s. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Also, Qantas said it will use the system for the 65 787 Dreamliners it has on order. The system, Boeing said, gives airlines insight as to the condition of airplanes, providing in-flight access to fuel-burn information and data that allow preparation for the airline to minimize or eliminate delays through advance preparation for maintenance procedures.
