Panasonic in Deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle

Panasonic Avionics Corp., Lake Forest, Calif., signed an agreement with low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle to provide its Digital MPES (DMPES) in-flight entertainment (IFE) system on 45 B737-800s. The system includes audio, video, moving maps, and other content. “Panasonic Digital MPES is easy to use, and its design features are environment-conscious which helps reduce CO2 emissions and bring down fuel costs. With this high quality in-flight entertainment system, our passengers will be able to experience a more enjoyable flight,” said Bjorn Kjos, CEO at Norwegian Air Shuttle.
