OuterLink Announces Management Buyout

OuterLink Corp., a provider of asset tracking products for aviation and ground vehicle markets, said it reached a definitive agreement with its parent, Digital Angel Corp., to become an independent and privately owned entity via a management buyout. The Lowell, Mass.-based company said the transaction is subject to Federal Communications Commission approval. OuterLink was formed to provide satellite-based asset management and tracking services to support public safety, emergency response and other critically important services. “We are delighted to open a new chapter in OuterLink’s evolution,” said President and founder, Paul Newcomb. “This change in ownership will provide OuterLink more flexibility and a shorter cycle time in bringing our product developments to market. Our sole focus is growing our core business domestically and internationally, in both commercial and government arenas.”
