Northrop Grumman Wins IT Training Pact

Northrop Grumman won a contract valued up to $100 million from FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., to provide information technology and training services for the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System Ground Based Training System (JPATS GBTS). Under the contract, Northrop Grumman and FlightSafety Services will develop, deploy, maintain and provide help desk services and user training to the JPATS GBTS, a military training integration management system that provides comprehensive flight training services for U.S. Air Force and Navy. "The use of an electronic flight training management system allows the instructor to focus more attention on the student and less on time-consuming paperwork," said James Barry, vice president, Technology Integration and Applications of Northrop Grumman IT's Defense group. Work on the contract will be conducted in Colorado Springs, Northrop Grumman said.
