Honeywell to Provide Avionics Upgrades for Cessna

Honeywell signed a contract worth up to $800 million to provide environmental control systems, LASEREF navigation and state-of-the-art communications systems for the new Cessna Citation Latitude and Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft.

The contract also calls for Honeywell to provide its RE100 auxiliary power unit (APU) for the Latitude.

The two companies signed the new agreement during the second day of the 2012 NBAA meeting.

“This latest generation of modern technologies will enable a higher level of safety, performance and comfort to be given to Latitude andLongitude operators. In addition, our service agreement will enable Cessna operators to receive the best possible service and support for global operations,” said Rob Wilson, president of business and general aviation, Honeywell Aerospace.

Cessna also signed a new engine agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada for its Citation aircraft at the NBAA meeting.
