Goodrich to Supply F-35 Air Data Systems

Goodrich Corp., Charlotte, N.C., will supply the air data system (ADS) for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II program. The contract has the potential of generating $300 million in revenue over the life of the program, the companies said. Goodrich said deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2009. Goodrich's content on the F-35, expected to be valued at more than $3 million per aircraft, includes landing gear, weapons bay door systems, engine and fuel quantity sensors, actuation systems and unique short takeoff/vertical landing engine and airframe components.
