Gogo Expands Bizjet Network to Canada

[Avionics Today April 1, 2014] Gogo subsidiary Aircell has expanded its business jet in-flight connectivity service to Canadian airspace in a service allowing business jet aircraft passengers and crews to access the Internet above 10,000 feet.

Canada is the latest expansion for the service, after Gogo Biz was first introduced to North America in 2009, with Alaskan coverage added a year later. "With today's expansion, business aircraft can now connect everywhere Gogo Biz is available in the Continental U.S., Alaska and Canada — all with a single monthly service plan and no extra fees," said John Wade, executive vice president and general manager of Aircell.

Gogo said this means coverage is now available on Canada's "most populous regions and flight routes."
