Garmin introduced an integrated avionics suite designed for the Part 23 light turbine aircraft market. In an announcement Monday at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) conference and exhibition in Orlando, Fla., the company said the G3000 will feature 5.7-inch, touch screen LCD displays, part of the GTC 570 vehicle management system.
“It’s truly an elegant system and I think it’s going to be very popular,” said Gary Kelly, Garmin vice president of marketing. The console-mounted GTC 570 uses a desktop-like menu interface with intuitive icons that allows for full control of radio management, audio management, flight management, weather systems management, synoptics, and other vehicle systems, the company said.
Garmin is expected to announce the launch customer and platform today at NBAA. The G3000 suite will be available for forward fit applications in 2012, Kelly said.
