GE Fanuc, Lockheed Martin Ink Deal

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms received a $2.25 million order from Lockheed Martin's Eagan, Minn., facility to provide its VME-7809 VMEbus single board computer and NETernity RM921 Ethernet switches for Lockheed Martin AN/UYQ-70 C4 (command, control, communications and computer) system. The Q-70 standard computer system using open system architecture are used by the U.S. Navy on a variety of ships, aircraft and shore stations. They also are deployed on naval systems in Australia, Germany, Japan, Norway and Spain. The VME-7809 6U VMEbus single board computer has an Intel Pentium processor and up to 2 Gigabytes of memory. The NETernity RM921 is a VMEbus managed Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports IPv6.
