The new Gulfstream G650 large-cabin business jet will have an Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS) as standard equipment to protect against blinding smoke conditions. Due to enter service in 2012, the G650 will be the first aircraft to offer standard smoke protection, according to the system distributor. EVAS is manufactured by VisionSafe Corp., of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and sold by EVAS Worldwide, of Ramsey, N.J.
