Firan Acquires Action Circuits Division

Canadian avionics supplier Firan Technology Group (FTG) said it is buying the printed circuit board fabrication business of Action Circuits, Van Nuys, Calif. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Under the agreement, FTG will transition the current business of Action Circuits to the FTG facility in Chatsworth, Calif. “We are excited about this agreement as the customer base is very focused on Aerospace and Defense applications and is therefore a great fit for our facility,” said Michael Labrador, Vice President and General Manager, FTG Circuits. “The product mix in terms of technology levels and production lot sizes will also fit our facility well.”
FTG has two operating units –– FTG Circuits, which makes printed circuit boards for the aviation, defense and high-technology industries, and FTG Aerospace, which makes illuminated cockpit panels, keyboards and sub-assemblies for original equipment manufacturers of avionics products. More
