German aircraft manufacturer Grob Aircraft AG and Elbit Systems announced they are partnering to develop a family of trainer aircraft -- the G 120TP. The G 120TP is based on a modular aircraft concept -- one aircraft in three different configurations, namely as a Side-by-Side Aircraft, a Tandem-Seat Aircraft and a Four-Seat Aircraft. Manufactured by Grob Aircraft AG, the aircraft will include Elbit Systems avionics suite, including a glass cockpit.

The companies made the announcement at this week's Farnborough Airshow, outside London.

The companies said the new family will be marketed globally by Grob Aircraft with the Elbit Systems cockpit and virtual tactical training.
