British Airways Engineering's Avionics Business Celebrates Milestone
British Airways Engineering on Thursday announced that its avionics subsidiary has officially released over one million units.
The South Wales-based maintenance, repair and overhaul provider said the million-unit milestone equates to a release rate of more than 52,000 avionics units per year.
“This is an incredible achievement for the avionics team, and speaks volumes about our commitment and hard work in providing for the vast number of aircraft we service every year. As technology has evolved, so too have the skills of our employees, who are some of the best engineers in the industry. We have grown into a commercial organization with the skills to provide engineering services for a range of fleets for our customers. Today’s announcement sends a clear message to the market that we have the capacity and skillset required to provide for even the most demanding of global carriers,” said Brian Currie, general manager for interiors and avionics at British Airways Engineering.
