BOC Specifies Rockwell Collins Avionics
Aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation, of Singapore, selected a baseline avionics package from Rockwell Collins to equip 47 new Airbus A320s. Deliveries begin in the fourth quarter.
Rockwell Collins will provide avionics including its WXR-2100 MultiScan Hazard Detection System, VHF Data Radio, HF radio system, VHF omni-directional range receiver, DME, ADF, TCAS II and multi-mode receiver with GPS.
BOC Aviation, which is 100 percent owned by Bank of China, has a portfolio of 83 aircraft operated by airlines worldwide. The company has another 73 aircraft on firm order for delivery through 2013.
