BAE to Supply Computers for T/A-50s
Korea-based defense group NEX1 Future Co. Ltd. selected BAE Systems, Los Angeles, to supply flight control computer kits for Korea's T/A-50 Golden Eagle supersonic aircraft. The $13.7 million contract also includes spares and technical support. BAE said the triple-redundant, 32-bit, digital fly-by-wire flight control has been flying on the Korean trainer aircraft since 2002. Deliveries for the T/A-50 will begin in the fall of 2007 and continue through early 2010. The T/A-50 Golden Eagle is a supersonic jet trainer and attack aircraft developed by Korea Aerospace Industries. More
