Avionics Innovations Wins BAE Contract

Avionics Innovations, Ramona, Calif., a manufacturer of airborne video and audio systems, will supply ruggedized, Mil-Spec video switching units to BAE Systems for a retrofit program funded by the U.S. Army. The initial order calls for 152 units, with a follow-on potential of up to 80 units per month and a total of over 3,500 units for the program life. Avionics Innovations said the order is its largest ever, but did not provide financial terms or details of the contract.  The company will develop and build this switching units within 120 days.
