Astronics Wins CH-53K Lighting Contract

Astronics Corp., East Aurora, N.Y., signed a contract with Sikorsky Aircraft to design, develop and supply the Helicopter Emergency Exit Lighting (HEEL) system for Sikorsky’s CH-53K military heavy-lift helicopter, currently under development for the U.S. Marine Corps. Sikorsky expects to deliver more than 156 helicopters, which will replace the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters currently in use by the U.S. Marine Corps. For related news
