ARINC Expands in Middle East

At the Dubai Air Show this week, ARINC said it will accelerate its planned investment in the Middle East by building out a network of VHR air-ground stations over the coming months to support the requirement for ARINC datalink services in the region. ARINC, Anapolis, Md., said the expansion of VHR infrastructure will add to its voice and datalink coverage for the area. ARINC installed two new VHF stations at Bahrain and Dubai. And ARINC said its African coverage will be expanded with new VHF station deployments at Nairobi, Johannesburg and Capetown in the coming months. The company has also just expanded the capacity of ARINC’s voice and data service, AviNet, by adding two network nodes in Dubai.
