Report: UPS Seen Canceling A380 Order

 

A French newspaper reported Friday that parcel giant UPS, the last remaining freighter customer for the Airbus A380, might cancel its order for the freighter next week. The move follows the cancelation of orders from FedEx and International Lease Finance Corp. last year. UPS ssued a statement denying the report. The French newspaper Les Echos, citing unidentified sources, said UPS is expected to cancel the order for 10 of the planes next week. UPS is currently scheduled to receive its first plane in 2009.
