Spirit Avionics Wins USAF Deal

Spirit Avionics, Columbus, Ohio, won a $1.2 million contract to upgrade avionics on two U.S. Air Force DeHaviland Dash 8 special mission aircraft. Spirit said the equipment to be installed is Honeywell’s CAS 67A Traffic-Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) II system and its Multi Function Radar Display, and L-3 Communications’ digital flight data recorder and associated flight data acquisition unit and solid state cockpit voice recorder.
