Rockwell Collins TV Systems Wins STC

BaySys Technologies won a FAA supplemental type certificate for the installation of the Rockwell Collins’ Tailwind 550 Direct TV System on the Airbus A319. Rockwell Collins’ Tailwind 550 system offers live television programming on board the aircraft. The company says the TV coverage is truly multiregion because the antenna is 30 percent more sensitive than current technology. Onancock, Va.-based BaySys operates an aircraft modification and completion facility at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Va.
