After production delays,
Raytheon Aircraft Co. received
FAA type certification for its $19.5 million Hawker 4000 super-midsize business jet. The Hawker 4000, featuring a composite fuselage and Honeywell Primus EPIC avionics, can now be offered for sale.
Raytheon said it expects customer deliveries to begin in the first quarter 2007. Raytheon introduced the Hawker 4000 in 1996. The company received a certification extension from
FAA in May, citing aircraft complexities. The order book stands at 74, including a $1 billion order from NetJets Inc., announced last December.
