Boeing Finishes AWACS Upgrade

Boeing completed a system production upgrade for the first NATO Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft under the $1.32 billion Mid-Term Modernization Program. EADS, a Boeing subcontractor on the project, completed the latest modification on schedule and said the entire fleet of AWACS aircraft is set to be upgraded in 2008.
