The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) named Rockwell Collins to lead an initiative to advance radio technology under the Analog Spectral Processors (ASP) Program. ASP will employ Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology to create radio front-ends. Rockwell Collins has teamed with the MEMS scientific community to develop an ultra-wideband, multi-channel receiver and spectral sensor. The development will leverage innovative radio frequency (RF) architecture and novel RF MEMS technologies, including high performance tunable filters and RF switches. One of the first programs to benefit will be the military¹s Joint Tactical Radio System program.
