EFW Wins ARH Contract

EFW Inc., an Elbit Systems of America company, has been chosen by Bell Helicopter to supply the Data Transfer System (DTS) for the U.S. Army’s new Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH). Financial terms were not disclosed. The DTS is a data server, capable of synchronized recording of video and audio, using standard solid-state memory cartridges. The system will interface with ARH communications, navigation, aircraft survivability equipment and mission equipment subsystems to automate the mission data input process and record mission and aircraft data during flight. EFW also will supply the Helmet Display and Tracking System for the ARH, used to provide U.S. Army ARH helicopter pilots with helmet-mounted night vision, flight data and weapons targeting information.
