L-3 Communications: Didier, VP-Business Development

L-3 Communications Display Systems named David Didier vice president-business development. Didier was one of the founders of Avionic Displays Corp. whose military business was acquired by L-3 Communications in 1999. He has held previous management positions with Lockheed Martin and Boeing. Honeywell: Hultquist, VP Communications

Kyle Hultquist was appointed vice president of communications for Honeywell’s Aerospace Electronic Systems. He replaced Eldon Kramer, who retired after more than 30 years of service to the company. Hultquist previously served as director of marketing communications for Honeywell’s aerospace headquarters in Phoenix. See www.honeywell.com.

Eurocontrol: Aguado, Director General

After seven years as director general of Eurocontrol, Yves Lambert has retired and has been replaced by Victor M. Aguado. During Lambert’s tenure, the number of Eurocontrol member states increased from 15 to 30. Aguado, who assumed his new duties in January, was a previous president of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO’s) Air Navigation Commission. See www.eurocontrol.be.

Mid-Continent Instruments: Waringhem, French Rep.

Mid-Continent Instruments, Wichita, Kan., appointed Jose Waringhem of SENA Co. in Cannes, France, as the company’s representative for French aircraft manufacturers. Jet Source: Tierney, Avionics Manager

Full-service FBO Jet Source has selected Pat Tierney as its avionics manager. He has over 15 years of avionics experience and was the shop foreman, as well as head of helicopter completions for Cinema Air, prior to the acquisition by Jet Source in February 2000. ITT Industries: Gaffney, President & General Mgr.

ITT Industries recently appointed Steven F. Gaffney as president and general manager of its Avionics Division in Clifton, N.J. He previously was vice president and director of programs at ITT, overseeing the company’s electronic warfare and communication/navigation/identification (CNI) programs. He also held positions with Litton Industries, Smiths Industries and AlliedSignal. See www.itt.com.

Inmarsat: Jones, VP-Business Infrastructure
