Landmark Aviation, formerly Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated, recently named Roger Wolfe as its chief executive officer (CEO) and Shawn Vick as its president. Frank Klaus announced in September his retirement as the Tempe, Ariz.-based company's president and CEO. A 25-year veteran in aviation and aerospace, Wolfe formerly was vice president and general manager of Honeywell's Airframes business unit. Vick, who joined Landmark in 2004, previously led the international, used aircraft and completion sales business for Bombardier Aerospace. In addition Landmark has appointed David Daniels as avionics manager for the company's Springfield, Ill., facility. Kent Statler has been named senior vice president and general manager of Collins Aviation Services, the service and support arm of Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He replaces Harry Gregory, who has announced his retirement. An 18-year Collins employee, Statler formerly was senior vice president of operations. CMC Electronics, Montreal, has named four new vice presidents: Cathy Bain, vice president of marketing and sales; Franį¯Šs Dorval, vice president of quality assurance and continuous improvement; Gerald Charland, vice president of strategy and business development; and James Palmer, vice president of customer support and commercial services. Bain formerly was director of marketing for CMC Electronic's commercial aviation business, a position she had held since 2000. She also has held positions with Spar Aerospace, Leigh Instruments, Gandalf Technologies and the Architectural Institute of Canada. Dorval formerly was vice president of programs at Thales Avionics Canada, a company he joined in 1997 as program manager. He fills a newly created position at CMC Electronics. Charland, too, came from Thales Avionics Canada, where he was vice president, strategy and business development. He also has held strategy and business development posts at Rolls-Royce Canada Ltd. and Bombardier Inc. Palmer began his career at Rolls-Royce Canada, where he held a number of positions. After 22 years Mike Knapper has rejoined Tekdata Interconnect Systems, Burslem, UK, as sales engineer. He joined the company in 1970 as a techinican wireman and left the company in 1983 to pursue other opportunities in the wire and connector field. Mary Reagor, technical fellow for mathematical algorithms at Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth, Texas, is the recipient of the 2005 Outstanding Achievement Award for Women in Aerospace. Reagor was honored for her work in the development of fuzzy logic applications, which result in applicable data mining and modeling tools for complex systems. Maver Mayuga, product research and development officer for Philippine Airlines, has been named president of the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA). Serving a one-year term, she succeeds Kent Craver, manager of onboard product marketing and research for Continental Airlines. Other newly elected WAEA officials include: Dee Brady, in-flight entertainment (IFE) programming manager for British Airways, as vice president; Sue Pinfold, director of business operations for Spafax, as secretary; and Sylvia Arndt, director-interactive software engineering for Panasonic Avionics Corp., as treasurer. WAEA also has announced new members of its board of directors: Doug Backelin, manager of in-flight communications and technology for American Airlines and Barbara Hollenbeck, specialist, onboard entertainment for Northwest Airlines. In addition, the association has bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award on Italo Poli, who began his career with Swissair in 1964 as manager of audio visual.
