Panasonic Teams with iPass to Offer IFC on 23 International Airlines

[Avionics Today 01-22-2016] Mobile connectivity provider iPass has struck an agreement with Panasonic Avionics to bring in-flight Internet access to iPass customers on 23 international airlines. Under the terms of the agreement, iPass, which provides Wi-Fi connectivity on any mobile device, will be available on more than 747 Panasonic-equipped aircraft that fly more than 32,000 routes monthly.
iPass has agreements with several In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) providers and now offers service onboard more than 2,700 aircraft. With this partnership, the company extends its service to passengers on airlines around the world, including Air Berlin, All Nippon Airways and WestJet.
