FAA Approves True Blue Lithium-Ion STCs

Wichita, Kan.-based power solutions manufacturer True Blue Power has received several FAA supplemental type certificates (STCs) for its TS835 series lithium-ion emergency power supply.

The Mid-Continent Instrument Co. subsidiary is approved for a Part 25 STC installation of the TS835 in Bombardier Learjet 35/36 model aircraft and a Part 27 STC for installation in Eurocopter BK117 and EC145 helicopters.

TS835 provides 24.5 VDC power for standby equipment and maintains full capacity by recharging during normal flight operations, using lithium iron phosphate technology.

Additionally, the company amended a Part 23 approved model list (AML) STC to include more than 20 aircraft, including the Beech King Air and Pilatus PC-12. True Blue now holds FAA, EASA and Transport Canada (TCCA) certifications for the TS835.
