Bosemer, McAuliff, Greer

Landmark Aviation, Tempe, Ariz., named Gary Bosemer director of avionics marketing. Bosemer, formerly Landmark Aviation’s Avionics & Airframe sales manager, will be responsible for program and product development and avionics market data management. Bosemer previously managed Landmark’s MRO market capability for the western sales region. He joined Garrett Aviation Services, Landmark’s predecessor company, in 1999. Bosemer previously worked for Mid-Continent Instruments as sales and marketing manager, and at Pacific Southwest Instruments.

Landmark Aviation also named William McAuliff general manager for its Rochester, N.Y., FBO. In 2003 he joined Landmark’s predecessor company, Piedmont Hawthorne, as airline manager, managing ground support, safety and quality control. He previously worked for Safe Step Inc., at Greensboro, N.C., as a project manager, responsible for the organization’s OSHA compliance, fuel tanks, safety equipment and other areas.

The company also named David Greer director of Quality and Organizational Excellence at Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company at Dallas Love Field. Greer, who most recently was process leader at Associated Air Center, previously served as director of operations at Hampson Texstars Inc., a plastics and composites manufacturer.

Graham Turgoose

PCB Piezotronics, Depew, N.Y., named Graham Turgoose managing director of PCB Piezotronics Ltd., its newly established sales office in the United Kingdom.

As managing director, Turgoose will oversee sales, marketing and customer service for PCB and IMI Sensors within the United Kingdom and Ireland. Turgoose served as European sales manager for PCB for the past six years. He has more than 25 years of sensor and instrumentation experience, and has worked in the areas of process control, electro-dynamic shaker systems, acoustic testing and government research.

Ramon Lopez

Aurora Flight Sciences, Manassas, Va., named Ramon Lopez communications manager. Lopez, who comes from a 35-year career in journalism, will be responsible for the company’s communications activities, include Web site content, press announcements, media relations and trade show marketing.

Lopez was most recently with Unmanned Systems, the magazine published by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.

Robert Clare

Universal Avionics, Tucson, Ariz., named Robert Clare manager of central region marketing. Clare, who joined Universal in 1983, will be located at its Wichita, Kan., office. Clare was most recently Midwest regional product support manager at Universal’s Wichita Repair Station and Product Support.

Freise, Bond

BAE Systems also named Clark Freise vice president and general manager of its Defense Avionics business area, a Johnson City, N.Y.-based division which provides services in vehicle management, visual and network-enabled situational awareness, precision targeting and human-machine interface.

Freise previously served as deputy general manager of Information Dominance Systems for BAE Systems and was site executive for the company’s Hudson, N.H., facility. Prior to joining BAE Systems, he was vice president at Advanced Power Technologies Inc. Freise also served as a U.S. naval officer, a scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory and a program manager at the U.S. Department of Energy.

BAE Systems also named Sean Bond president of its Platform Solutions business, a Johnson City, N.Y.-based defense and commercial electronics business.

Bond previously was vice president and general manager of Defense Avionics within BAE’s Platform Solutions unit. Before that, he was V-22 program manager at Bell Helicopter Textron and Joint Strike Fighter program manager for Pratt & Whitney Military Engines.

Mike Rector

Emteq, New Berlin, Wis., named Mike Rector director, responsible for oversight and development of all pre-production staff, including project and program managers and customer service personnel.

Rector, who has been active in the aviation industry for more than 17 years, was most recently vice president of production for Pilatus Business Aircraft.

Brian Wilson

Banyan Air Service, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., appointed Brian Wilson director of avionics.

Wilson will oversee activities related to Banyan’s avionics department including bench repair and overhaul, aircraft installations and used component sales. He has nearly 30 years of experience, including with Midcoast Aviation, Raytheon and AMR Combs/Learjet/Bombardier and Jet Aviation.

Allen J. Tiedman

CSSI Inc., Washington, D.C., promoted Allen J. Tiedman to president. Tiedman, who has been with CSSI since 2006, most recently was executive vice president leading the company’s business development, marketing and sales management. As president, he will oversee CSSI’s operations, focused on developing business growth strategies.

Before joining CSSI, Tiedman was senior vice president for marketing at FC Business Systems, an information technology services provider. Before that, he was with Johnson Controls and the University of California, Los Alamos National Laboratory.
