Achim Klein, an engineer, has been named president of Rohde & Schwarz Vertriebs GmbH, based in Munich. Klein is responsible for the sales of all Rohde & Schwarz radiocommunications products.Herbert Rewitzer, an electronics engineer, succeeds Klein as head of Rohde & Schwarz's Radiocommunications Systems Division. Lynn Brubaker

Lynn Brubaker, who recently served as Honeywell's vice president and general manager-commercial aerospace, recently was elected to the Nordam Group board of directors. She began her 26-year career in the airline industry, then worked for McDonnell Douglas, and subsequently moved to AlliedSignal, which merged with Honeywell in 1999. Robin Southwell

Christopher Camargo

The Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, has named Christopher Camargo director of the avionics and support systems department in the organization's Aerospace Electronics and Information Technology Division. He joined the institute in 1990, following employment with Alamo Technology Inc. At the institute he led reliability and maintainability efforts for U.S. Air Force aircraft, including the F-111 and F-15. Now he leads more than 30 engineers, analysts and technicians involved in avionics systems engineering and hardware and software upgrades for the Air Force F-16 and A-10 aircraft. Klaus, Rowe, Wolfe, Haas

Brian Rowe, chairman of the board at Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated, is stepping in as the company's interim chief executive officer (CEO) as a result of Frank Klaus' decision to retire as CEO and board member. Klaus will serve for a year as a consultant to the company and to the Carlyle Group, which controls Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated. Rowe, who was named the company's chairman of the board a year ago, was previously president and CEO of GE Engines. In addition, Garrett/Piedmont Hawthorne/Associated has appointed Roger Wolfe as executive vice president of operations. Rodgers, Leftwich

CSSI Inc.--a Washington, D.C.-based air traffic management research, engineering and technical services firm--has hired two new officials: Mark Rodgers and Robbie Leftwich. Rodgers has been named chief scientist for human system integration. He formerly was director of system engineering in FAA's Air Traffic Operations Planning Organization.
