Avidyne Corp.: Sandeen, Vice President

Mark Sandeen, who joined Avidyne Corp. in 1997 as director of business development, was recently promoted to vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to his employment with the Lincoln, Mass.-based firm, Sandeen was with Object Design Inc. and before that, with Intel. He is an instrument rated pilot and graduate of Cornell University. Lockheed Martin ATM: Belger, Vice President

Monte Belger, a former senior executive and acting deputy administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has been named vice president, Transportation Systems Solutions, for Lockheed Martin Air Traffic Management. He will head the company’s expansion into broader transportation markets, focusing particularly on aviation management solutions and intermodal transportation inititatives. Belger also will focus on security for Lockheed Martin Mission Systems. His 30 years with the FAA also included serving as associate administrator for Air Traffic Services. Raytheon ISR: Perryman, Lead Executive

Maj. Gen. Gerald Perryman, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), has joined Raytheon as lead executive of the company’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) strategic business area team. He formerly was assistant deputy chief of staff for Warfighting Integration, at U.S. Air Force Headquarters, where he helped create a strategy for an integrated command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) architecture. Honeywell Aerospace: Birtcil, Vice President

William Birtcil has been named vice president of communications for Honeywell Aerospace, replacing Dennis Signorovitch, who retired after 25 years with the company. Prior to his employment at Honeywell, Birtcil spent 12 years at The Pillsbury Co. and was vice president of corporate affairs and executive director of The Pillsbury Company Foundation. Alternative Avionics: Gaines, Sales Manager

Edwin Gaines has joined Alternative Avionics as manager of outside sales. He leaves Garrett Aviation, where he was regional avionics sales manager. He also has been employed by Global/Wulfsberg, AlliedSignal and Airshow, and was an F-106 fire control technician with the U.S. Air Force. Based in Waterford, Mich., Alternative Avionics provides avionics retrofits and reduced vertical separation minima (RVSM) solutions for corporate aircraft. Visit www.rvsm.com.

CMC Electronics Inc.: Larose, Vice President

CMC Electronics Inc. has appointed Mario Larose to the newly created position of vice president of the company’s custom electronics business unit. He will be in charge of building CMC’s electronic components business. Before joining the company, Larose was vice president of marketing for EXFO Electro-Optic Engineering and, prior to that, vice president of marketing and general manager for C-MAC/LG Technologies. NATA: Fitch, Technical Services Manager

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has named Bryan Fitch as its new technical services manager. He came to NATA from Gemini Air Cargo, where he was a flight engineer. He also served as maintenance technician and flight engineer with the U.S. Air Force and continues in that role, in the Air Force Reserves, aboard Lockheed C-141 Starlifter cargo aircraft.
