[Avionics Today 03-17-2016] The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified Beechcraft’s new Pro Line Fusion-equipped Beechcraft King Air 350i/ER and 250 turboprop aircraft, paving the way for deliveries throughout Europe.

The new Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics system for the King Air includes: a high-resolution Synthetic Vision System (SVS) with patented airport dome graphics, a full multi-sensor Flight Management System (FMS), available automatic wireless database and chart uploads, an open architecture for future upgrades and mandates and 14-inch displays. In addition to new avionics, the cabin offers standard Wi-Fi capability compatible with Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs).

Beechcraft announced the upgrades at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in May 2015. The Fusion-equipped King Air 250 earned FAA certification in July 2015 and the 350i/ER earned the certification in November 2015.
