Two Die in Wisconsin Chopper Crash

A Robinson R-44 crashed into the roof of a house near Kenosha, WI early Sept. 21, killing two people in the helicopter. Fog was reported in the area at the time, but there was no immediate indication if that played a role in the crash. "The engine just didn't sound right," said a witness on the ground "It was sputtering. It was at full power, but it was sputtering real bad. Then you just heard a loud boom,” according to a local news coverage. The Federal Aviation Administration said the helicopter was registered to Midwestern Air Services of Kenosha, which provides charter services and flight training.
