Toronto City Centre Airport Gets Accipiter Radars

Accipiter Radar’s Accipiter line of software-definable radars is now operational at Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA). Recently, Accipiter completed the installation and approval of a custom-developed application that provides automated alerts to controllers when targets of concern enter the marine exclusion zones that could conflict with take-offs and landings. The Accipiter application integrates two radar systems and two cameras into a single hands-off display embedded into existing instrumentation consoles to minimize its footprint. Accipiter Radar of North America offers 360 degrees 3D, commercially-available tracking surveillance radars using affordable PC-based processing to the homeland security and aviation safety markets worldwide. The Accipiter product offers wide-area radar surveillance solution, including target data acquisition, storage, management, analysis, distribution and visualization.
