TSA Finds Credit Card Knife in Luggage

Transportation Security Officers at Newark Liberty International Airport last week detected a knife disguised as a credit card concealed in an outbound passenger’s wallet, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

A TSA officer operating an X-ray machine detected the concealed knife, said Kawika Riley, TSA spokesperson. The knife was sandwiched between several real credit cards in the passenger’s wallet. It was placed in a carry-on piece of luggage.

The officers, according to Riley, were able to detect the item without any impact to airport operations.
