Park Air Wins ATC Work in Canada

Northrop Grumman’s Europe-based subsidiary, Park Air Systems, has been awarded a contract by NAV CANADA for the supply of VHF radios as part of an extensive $50 million replacement program throughout Canada. The project will see NAV CANADA replace all ground-to-air VHF radio equipment throughout 320 sites across Canada. More than 2,000 pairs of radios in total will be replaced with the latest modern technology by Park Air Systems.  The new PAE T6 multi-mode digital radios will improve ground-to-air communications throughout Canada, introducing higher power capabilities and advanced remote maintenance monitoring. A total of 250 pairs of radios will be delivered to NAV CANADA in 2008. The company is providing the NOVA 9000 A-SMGCS for NAV CANADA at nine of country’s busiest airports and is currently in the final stages of delivery of 40 NORMARC 7000 Instrument Landing Systems, which are also being deployed at airports across Canada as part of the extensive network of NAV CANADA electronic navigational aides.
