NTSB Assisting Brazil in Corporate Jet Crash
A National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator is supporting the government of Brazil in its investigation of the crash of a Learjet Model 35 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 4. The accident occurred at 4:10 p.m. local time, shortly after takeoff from Tampo de Marte Airport. The airplane crashed into homes with the two persons aboard sustained fatal injuries. There were also fatalities on the ground. NTB investigator Tim Monville is on the scene as the U.S. accredited representative. He is accompanied by safety officials from the Federal Aviation Administration, Honeywell Engines, and Learjet. The Brazilian government will release all information on the progress of the investigation.
