A conference on Human Factors and NextGen will take place May 28-29, 2008 at the University of Texas at Arlington, TX. The Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) will require the input of human factors researchers working closely with policy makers and users of the National Airspace System. This conference brings together scientists and practitioners from throughout the industry to begin addressing the human factor in air transportation. Speakers include: Terry Allard of the Federal Aviation Administration, Joseph Celio, MITRE, Michael New, Delta Airlines, Herman Nijhuis of Eurocontrol, and NASA’s Amy Pritchett and Steven Young. Authors are invited to submit proposals for lecture or poster presentations to the program committee chair by March 10. All proposals should include a 300-word abstract to be published in the program. For 25-minute lecture presentation submissions (with 20-minute discussion), also include a 1,000-word paper. The program committee will review all submissions for their originality, relevance, and clarity. For additional information: Email b.johnson@ttu.edu or visit http://astg.hfes.org
