FlightSafety Hosts Helo Safety Forum
FlightSafety International’s Helicopter Safety Forum set for May 8-9, 2008 in Dallas, Texas has grown to become one of the best opportunities for operators and representatives of government agencies and industry associations to exchange ideas with a common goal of enhancing safety throughout the rotorcraft industry. Participants in the complimentary two-day conference will have the opportunity to attend safety-centered seminars, take part in discussion groups and receive the latest information on helicopter safety from industry experts. The keynote speaker at this year’s Helicopter Safety Forum will be National Transportation Safety Board Member Steve Chealander. The agenda includes presentations on a wide variety of safety issues: Safety Management Systems, Risk Assessment and Management, Inadvertent IMC Procedures and Night Operations, Controlled Flight into Terrain, and new technologies designed to enhance safety.
Representatives from the Airborne Law Enforcement Association, Air Medical Safety Advisory Council, Association of Air Medical Services, Federal Aviation Administration, Helicopter Association International, National Business Aviation Association, National EMS Pilots Association and others will be on hand.
